WTB - Star Wars yoke - any new ram controls updates?
« on: April 17, 2012, 04:35:57 pm »
hi all,

i figured a way out to add a star wars yoke to my panel (my never ending panel it seems) and am potentially in the market to buy a working used unit or a repro.  anyone have any updates on ram controls?  from readings on here, it seems they have been very slow to deliver, has that changed?

thanks all, t

Now guys ... at least tell him why you are laughing.

RAM Controls has been exposed to be a few scammers working in tandem to systematically rip off hobbyists. Sure, they deliver some stuff, but EVERYTHING they have told us about themselves and their stories has been a lie. They are still active, however.

KLOV has an entire feedback forum dedicated to them.

My bad, just thought that was good for a laugh. Considering there's been a good amount of discussions on the Ram Controls shinanigans, here and on KLOV.

But good you asked. Better safe than sorry!

Sad that they never sold a kit (unbuilt ones) because I think that was their problem.

I've bought parts from them in the past, and they got to me super quick.  I think the hour+ time to put them together was their downfall.

I would personally love to see someone who built non-perfect reproductions for good games, making them playable, but easier to deal with.  Oscar controls used to do a good job (he designed everything himself, and only took projects he felt he would be able to put together... almost talked him into building a 720 controller, but he was probably right not to take it on).

I used to think that ... until I found out that Dave from RAM Controls didn't actually exist and that Dan who took over RAM Controls didn't actually exist and that the two guys playing those roles have been in business together for years, as opposed to Dan just being some guy who Dave owed money to. And that ignores the other two players in the scam game and the sheer dollar amounts of the ripoffs.

I am going to sell my Star Wars yoke and other stuff from my 6-sided driving cabinet I recently disassembled.  I need some time to gather everything, take pictures and post it all.

Keep a watch on the link below:
