IPac2 Firmware Update
« on: April 12, 2012, 04:12:52 pm »
So as I near the end of my cabinet I'm hitting a streak of 1 step forward, 3 steps back.  After getting my control panel working beautifully last night I received instructions on how to upgrade my ipac firmware to support volume controls.  After loading WinIpac I hit the upgrade firmware and it told me to locate the driver.  I have the file "ipac2_28_n_v.ufw" but it won't let me select the file.  I tried searching online, but had no success.  Now my control panel appears to be messed up.  At first none of the inputs worked after doing this, after a reboot about half of the buttons worked.

At the end of the prompt it told me to insert the CD, but I recently moved and I can't seem to find it (Yes, I'm kicking myself hard for this).  I'm still looking, but thought I'd add a post in case somebody has a suggestion on how to fix this.

After messing with this again tonight I was able to run the update through uhid, it said it was successful. When I hold my shift button and the volume command it get no reaction, but my panel is working again. Any ideas on how to get the volume control functionality to update?

This is something best addressed by email but have you assigned any button or shift/button combination as volume up/down using WinIPAC?
