sorry to bump this one again, but i just have to comment on the gameplay of the new NBA JAM: ON FIRE EDITION.....

it.  is.  awesome.

i played tonight with a buddy online and it is flawless and uber-fun.  they did a GREAT job of capturing the feel and the fun of the first NBA JAM game (and NBA JAM: TE).

the new game feels sooooooo much like the original arcade....the only slight difference is that this game forces you to play more man to man coverage and not stand under the basket for easy blocks.........not a bad change, IMO.

and the online play, again, is absolutely flawless.   a solid decision in the structure is that they let you play the "ladder" (facing the different teams) with another player via XBOX LIVE (and, i'm assuming, ps3 online as well).  it works very well.  feels like you're playing with the other player at the same control panel.

just a great game.....and for anybody that still hasn't purchased it, it's on sale for $10 right now via LIVE.  a real bargain at that price.  i encourage anyone who was a fan of the original JAM to grab this one soon.  very faithful adaptation of the original.
