How to display a single instruction card
« on: April 08, 2012, 11:28:02 am »
I wanted to display a single Instruction Card as a reminder of what the different controls do (how to change emulators, game lists, control mappings for SNES, e.t.c) preferably in the Info Window. I see that currently such a function is not yet implemented. Although it would be really easy to do:

Just allow a default image to show up in the Info Window (as can be done in the layout), so people can set up their Definable 5 to point to a directory that doesn't contain matching data forcing Mala to always display the default image there.

The way i temporarily solved the problem was to create a new totally empty layout. Then i made an image of the instructions using Photoshop and added it as a background to this layout.

I opened Mala Tree and added at the bottom a new node called Instructions (or whatever you want) and pointed it to my new layout.

This works even if you don't use Mala Tree.
