Good cheap rug to protect hardware floors for multicade and two pins?

Getting a multicade and two pinball machines in the future. Wife has approved converting our formal (and unused) dining room into an arcade. It's got hardware floors. What cheapish-type rug would you recommend for protecting the floor? We don't have fancy tastes. Walmart and/or hardware store rug remants would be fine.

Sorry if this isn't the right forum to post to. Wasn't sure which one to choose, e.g. it ain't about woodworking.

Instead of a rug, just use some furniture sliders.

They make felt ones specifically for hardwood.

+1 on the sliders.  I wish I had hardwood under my pins, I would slide save a lot more balls and strain my wrists less.  If you have to get a rug, you're going to want to go local, 5x7" sounds good but too heavy to ship.  Lowes, home depot, any carpet store, wal mart, etc. all have decent cheap ones.  If you're really cheap/size specific get a remnant from a carpet store and pay them ~$1/lf to bind the edges and make it into a custom sized rug.

Ended up using a carpet remnant cut to fit the cab. Slides around quite easily on a hardwood floor without scratching. For those talking about sliders, do you mean sliders for use in rooms with rugs?

Sliders work great.  You can also go to Lowes or Home Depot and purchase felt pads that are round and stick to the adjusters on the pinball legs.

If you want something that's not going to slide and only to go under the machines go down to sports authority and have look at the treadmill mats...
