Has anyone incorporated Amblone with a MAME cabinet?
« on: April 02, 2012, 07:00:04 pm »
Amblone is a DIY version of the Phillips system that uses leds to put ambient light around the screen that matches the material on the screen.  It's really cool and uses an Arduino with connection to a PC.  What I didn't know since mame is running emulation if the Amblone software would be able to pick up the screen content?  Has anyone done this with a project?

While it looks cool, I think I would be distracted by the lighting in the background changing all the time with the picture, and just as annoying, watching it fade and grow when more color is introduced/taken away.
