Yet another Pacdrive wiring question...
« on: April 02, 2012, 03:59:50 pm »
Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding wiring a Pacdrive to an external (not the PC's) power supply.

The question is a simple one I guess: "Where do I connect the ground wire to?".  I have the +ve daisy-chained to the LEDs themselves.

Am I right in thinking that I can simply 'attach' it to the USB shield and all will be well - or will this send some sort of 'spike' back to the motherboard?

Maybe Ultimarc should make these with a separate GND terminal - for those that want to use a separate PSU?

cheers
