WTB: Pinball launch gun/button
« on: March 27, 2012, 04:47:15 pm »
I have a Goldeneye cabinet that I am turning into a video pinball machine.  I am looking to buy a Goldeneye/T2/Star Trek type launch gun.  Even any kind of fancy button would be great.  I was considering the Nanotech Mot-ion plunger, but I haven't heard anything good about it.  Does it actually move the plunger back and forth in Future Pinball and Visual Pinball, or do you just pull it back, wait for the in game plunger to move and then release (setting strength by timing, not distance pulled back)?  It seems really expensive for that.  Are launch guns just regular buttons that I can run to my Keywiz?

Thanks

Still looking for one of these or even suggestions on where to look for one.  I haven't seen anything even close on Ebay over the last month.

Thank you for the link, but that really isn't a "fancy button".  I was thinking of one of the ones that sit on a 30-45 degree angle or has something else that can draw attention to it.  What I really would love to have is a Jurassic Park gun or even one from Fish Tales.

It's your money and do what you want but I can personally attest that you will hit yourself in the balls constantly if you have a cabinet with a gun handle launch button.

That is a good point.  That thought had crossed my mind, but the gun never got in my way when I played those games in the arcade, so I thought I would go with it.  Being next to one constantly could be annoying.  Maybe the Nanotech Mot-ion plunger is the way to go.

No!  :banghead:

Why?  What happened to you?

I haven't heard many positive reviews, but the videos on YouTube looked good.  I just assumed the people that were happy with didn't have a reason to post about it.

Isn't Dave Foley involved with those plungers?  I'd make darn sure that company still exists and I'd pay with a credit card you monitor closely before you ordered anything.

Yes, he is.

Who would have thought a guy from Kids in the Hall could make a group of people so angry.
I don't know the whole story there, just that there were some lawsuits, but I guess it is better to be safe than sorry and skip it.
