Daytona USA 2: Battle On The Edge
« on: March 23, 2012, 04:44:06 pm »
So I went to my local supplier to look for cabs I could fit my 26 lcd in. We walked threw looking at different cabs and measuring them and such. We came to a Daytona USA 2: Battle On The Edge. I told him that when I finish my other cab I would like to find one of these. He told me that they were going threw there inventory seeing what worked and what didnt. Taking out what parts they could use and either throwing or crushing what they couldnt. There was a tag on it that said bad monitor but he thought that the game worked otherwise. He asked if I was interested, I said yeah but i want it complete. He told me he would have to discuss it with the manager to see for sure if they were going to get rid of it or not. A few days later I was told that I could have it for 100. So my intent was to mame it and set it up for other emulators and a ps3. It got delivered today, only because my friend and I couldnt load it in the back of my ranger  :laugh2: I looked it over and thought what the hell. If it boots and I hear it running maybe i can find a monitor for it. So I plugged it in and hit the switch. I hear fans going but nothing else.  :hissy: I tried to tip the seat back but it was locked on one side  :banghead: So I took the screws out and manged to get the seat to tilt and unlock it. I looked inside and the powers supply wasnt on. Flicked  the switch and lord behold it came to life!!!  I looked up and couldnt believe the monitor was working too!!! So now I have a fully working Daytona USA 2: Battle On The Edge!! Guess I will have to find another cab to mame.

Nice buy.  I wonder how many working cabs they are going to part out or crush.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement power supply for my cab. It comes on and goes right back off no matter how many times I try. Its not the original power supply im guessing buy the fact the wires have been cut and they used elec tape to cover them.

It awesome to play when it works. The screen does have some burn in, but not that bad. You can play it on supermodel if you have a fast enough computer.
