Show your monitor glass and how you mounted it!!
« on: March 17, 2012, 10:54:03 am »
I have some ideas on how I need to mount the glass in front of my monitor, but I'm looking to see how it's been done on your cab.  I like Knievel's routed notch, but I'm at a point where I can't do that one.  And, it seems thats the least explained bit of cab design.  For reference, this is my cab.  Monitor bezel is a 3/4 MDF routed 1/2" at the backside to accept the monitor (19" dell LCD).

I've re-cut the bezel...this is a pic of the old one (the routing on the front looked like ass).  But, you get the idea.  It's a riff on knohbody's install

So, got any pics/explanations of how you mounted your monitor glass?

Thanks!
AJ

On my bartop I have a 1/4" slot behind the speaker panel.  The glass, at the top, goes between the monitor bezel and the 1/4" slot.  The bottom of the glass is held on by 2 1/4" dowels drilled into the monitor bezel and sandwiched in place with the control panel.  It's kinda hard to describe... better if you watch the video on my build page in my signature...
