Removed Cave SH3 support.  Still can't get the gpuDXv3 and legacy to go fullscreen without the flicker.  The gpuDX11 does go fullscreen but is not as stable or as fast on my system.  Still testing....

Just got home from work and starting to mess with it.
Testing it on Vista 64 since my awesome new windows 7 laptop died.
Sorry, have no other windows 7 computers to test it on.

It's working fine on Vista, although this computer is just a bit too slow to run the games full speed.
I'll probably go ahead and switch the driving cab over to this version of Demul tonight.
It runs XP 64.  If it doesn't work, I'll post.

EDIT: I'm very happy with it so far.  Perhaps my expectations were lower than others.  There were a few specific issues with certain games I hoped would be addressed and they seem to have been.  The only issue I see is that it stretches the vertical shmups super wide when you go fullscreen.
It allows you to set the window size and position though, so you can adjust those parameters to make it appear correct.  (make the window frame black).
Gotta stop trying to play games on this slow computer and go put it on the emulator setups.

Alright, had a go with it on the driving cab which runs XP64.

I think people's results are going to vary greatly depending on whether they have directx 11 or not.  (xp isn't capable of it)

Limited to the legacy plugin, the driving games either showed no improvement or had regressed.
I already had the Demul .5.7 that was leaked a year ago and that version actually runs the Atomiswave driving games better, although Maximum Speed crashes occasionally.  With this official release, the track disappears.  :o  Fiddling with the video settings didn't seem to make any difference, although they did run faster with fog disabled.

On my Vista PC, which is fairly weak but has directx 11, Initial D looked good, like the graphics glitches had been fixed.  (but it ran slow and the sound skips)
On the XP PC, the graphics glitches looked the same as they did before, although the controls were fixed and if I disabled the fog it plays at full speed.
It's driving me nuts that my Win7 i7 laptop is dead.  It has directx 11 and enough horsepower to tell what the emulator can really do.  :-\

A few pointers for the driving games while I'm on here......

Pedals must be set to combined!  (this has always been the case, but I didn't figure it out until now.  :P

For the games that look for the card reader when they boot up,
enter the service menu>game assignments> then there should be an option in there to disable  the card reader.
It works for initial d and club kart, but I haven't been able to figure out F355 yet.

Does someone know why on earth demul thinks that the framerate for some games should be 30fps and not 60? It's not a cpu performance issue, I'm a running a SB quad core a 1 gb his card. Happens on for example Metal Slug 6 and fotns.

How do you set the pedals in the controls and access the service menu in Club Kart

How do you set the pedals in the controls and access the service menu in Club Kart

Assuming you are using a pc steering wheel and pedals, there should be an option when you click on your controller under game controllers in the windows control panel.
(IIRC, in windows 7 you might have to right click the controller to get to the options and calibration window)
For my Logitech MOMO it's a checkbox.  It can also be changed in logitech profiler.
If you aren't using a pc steering wheel & pedals, it isn't relevant.

To access the service menu in club kart, use whatever buttons you have mapped to service and test in Demul.
The test button toggles through the menu choices and the service button selects them (or vice versa?!)
I'm at work, so this is from memory, my wording may be a bit off:
Toward the bottom of the service menu will be "game assignments" or "gameboard assignments"
Select that.  (Not system assignments at the top!)
In that menu, there should be an option to disable the card reader.

My controls were reversed when I tested that particular game!!

I only tested it on XP so was limited to legacy directx.
It was far from perfect.  It might be better with DirectX11.
