Looking for advice on a deal
« on: February 04, 2012, 03:57:12 pm »
I got a deal going on in this forum, im about to sell my 7 pony cabs. The thing is, im dealing with someone new, with only 5 post's. So im asking for advice on how we can handle this deal in order that both parties get protected, for me to get the money, and for him to get the cabs...maybe a certified check or somenthing like that?
Thanks if you can help us.

Yes, any help will do. This is a huge purchase for me.

Would Paypal be ok? I'm pretty active on klov. I have feedback. Again. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not picking them up. I'm setting up the pick up through UPS freight.

Have UPS pick up the cashiers check?  UPS does COD so UPS Freight may too.  Worth checking into.

like ups giving me the money once i drop the cabs? otherwise we have to work out something Else as i ain't gonna move 7 cabs and rent a dolly, maybe pay ups if they deliver the cabs and if something  happens at the delivery  and the cabs need to be returned, i imagine ups will charge me? I'm not going to be able to pay that. I have paypal but i don't trust paypal so much, once the other end has the item it can file a claim , paypal frezes your account and there goes your sale. So i still think a certified check would be best, but i really don't know how... if this would be a sale for 100 bucks i would mind paypal or COD.

Send me the money... and the cabs...  once both are received, I will send the money to the seller, and the cabs to the buyer...

Did I mention I'm a Nigerian prince?   >:D

I'm pretty sure that UPS has a policy in place to protect you if they don't give you the money...  This isn't a fly by night local operation.  I'm not saying it's the best solution but it's a damn site better than trusting paypal or a non-reputable third party (like a certain Nigerian prince).  I still say you at least check into it.

And I want 10% finder's fee if you go that route.  Of the cash and the cabs.   ;D

Why doesn't that dude just rent a truck and drive there?  Or hop on an air plane and drive the truck back one way?  He's already spending 3 grand, what's another $500?

 :dizzy:

That would be the best option for me, as i can give him the cabs an receive my money in the act....Plus i bet shipping would be more expensive by UPS
Hey Pinballjim, i stiil got that Super Mario pinball, im asking 500 for it, it works and it looks nice.

I totally forgot about a COD. I'll look into that prior to any movements. Thanks. Driving is not an option. It's a 12 hour drive. To and from. I I don't fly either. I'm scared. Trust me, if I have the cabs here, they will not be leaving. I want the both of us to come out on a Good feeling. You get your money and I save your pony's.
