Trackball not working
« on: September 22, 2003, 05:24:11 pm »
Sorry, I'm betting this has been answered before, but I've spent most of the day searching around.

I've got the ultimarc trackball and opti-pac.

It's temporarily hooked up, and it moves the mouse cursor in windows.

I'm using Mamewah and Mame only.

I startup Missle command, no cursor movement.  Same with Golden Tee.

My mame.cfg has mouse=yes.

I can't find if Mamewah needs a setting.

I read somewhere that you might need -mouse.     Do I need to add that somehow in Mamewah?

Thanks, Sorry if I searched poorly.

Assuming that you're using the windows version of MAME, the line should be

### Input device options ###
mouse                   1

not "yes".

Or, if you're using the command line, "-mouse".

mame -mouse marble

Thanks.
