Web hosting for projects, part 2
« on: September 21, 2003, 06:50:27 pm »
Didn't want to seize the other thread...  but it made me think of this so I started a new one.  Since a lot of you guys have nice web pages, do you have any tips on where to find good hosting?  I kind of want to purchase a whole domain name, so my email address can have a nice suffix that I would consider putting on business cards and resumes.

My email address of the past 6 years is going to expire, and I need a good place to host all my megs and megs of jpg's instead of sticking them on BYOAC bandwidth, and I can't stand any of the free email services.  I'm expecting to pay a small amount per month, have the ability to create a reasonable number of email accounts, and have enough space that I can send somebody a really big file if I want to.

planetjay offers hosting...  nice to give a byoc'er the business, eh?

(I know I appreciate it when byoac'ers have hosted with me in the past --- I dont' think I can fullfill all of your needs or i'd offer)

You couls also look up arishost.com
That's where I got my domain & hosting from...
$30 a year for 30 megs of space, 5 email accounts, 500 MBs bandwidth (extra bandwidth is cheap, & so is more space)

It's the best deal I've found for registering a domain name & hosting a small site.
