Is Sammy SSV hardware not just JAMMA? It looks like it to me:



Guess you will need a kick harness for the extra inputs.

Well JAMMA+ is just JAMMA with a kick harness.

If your cab is JAMMA wired you just need a kick harness, rather than a whole harness.

I've been trying to google for some info on the SSV but I haven't found much out.

Are the kick headers the ones next to the JAMMA edge? Are there any markings next to them?

If you already have a kick harness you may be able to use it but I doubt you will be able to plug it straight in as manufactures didn't stick to a standard for kick harnesses but you may be able to make an adapter to connect the SSV board to the Namco Tekken kick harness.
