Crime fighters --> Wrestlefest jamma
« on: September 21, 2003, 04:27:47 pm »
I want to convert crime fighters to wrestlefest.  I plugged the boards in, but the controls don't work.  Can anyone recommend some info or websites for beginners, so I can get this wrestlefest board rollin'.  THanks

hmmm ...  lets see ...

assuming the grounds are all daisey chained together ... sounds to me like the grounding wire isn't connected to ground. (means none of the controls will work)  I'm also assuming the WWF Wrestlefest board is in 100% working condition too and there isn't a problem with the acutal board.)

Your getting a picture right ... and its just a control issue.

Lets see .... you'll need a aux harness for player 3 (Crime Fighters was a 3 player (2 button) game where as Wrestlefest is a 4 player (2 button) game)

You should really snag a manual off eBay for that board (setup, pinouts, dip switch setting, etc) ... shouldn't cost no more than a few dollars  ;D

Hope that helps you out

Crime fighters is also a 4 player 2 button game like wrestlefest.  I don't know if I'll need that aux harness or not, but i'll download the wrestlefest manual from klov.com

thanks for the info

Wrestlefest also uses a unique JAMMA scheme.

Go here:

I hope this helps!

my bad ... the cabinet pic I referenced only had 3 sticks  :o

nothing unique about it other than the auxilary harness for players 3 & 4 (CN2 and CN3) which is common for 3 & 4 player cabinets.  Actually the Crime Fighters and WWF Wrestfest CN2 and CN3 pinouts are exactly the same ... so all you have to do is to insert each harness onto the correct headers and your ready to rock in roll.

the main JAMMA pinout just doesn't use the second pair of 12Vs, lockouts, and Players 1 & 2 (buttons 3 & 4 ) ... nothing speical about that.

I successfully converted my 2 player Capcom 3 in 1 cabinet to wrestlefest 2 player.  I think the problem with crime fighters to wrestlefest, is the fact that it doesn't have wired start buttons.  The capcom 3 in 1 had wired start buttons as well as 2 buttons, that on wrestlefest would be puch and kick.  Crime fighters cab doesn't have the start buttons and therefore, I cannot see if the controls would work or not.

Is there a way to wire a start button function to one of the two buttons on crime fighters or is it easier to  just wire individual start buttons?
