Best way to play Sonic games in cab?

Anybody do this? I haven't installed any sega emulators other than NullDC. Which one is the best/easiest to set up to use with gamepads?

I use Fusion in my cabinet for Master System and Genesis/Mega Drive.

Yeah another vote for Fusion! I really like the funky graphical overlay for the Gamegear console. Before I discovered Fusion I used Gens for Mega Drive/Genesis games and found it to be very reliable also. Both emulators were very easy to set up with gamepads.

Also, I bought a 'USB Genesis Retroport' adapter which was a bit pricey but I love being able to use my original Mega Drive gamepad, feels so much more authentic!

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Add another Kega Fusion vote.
