Euro Coin Mech
« on: January 05, 2012, 04:39:55 pm »
Hi guys,

Quick question. What's a good place to buy a coin door and coin mechanism? I've found a few places but I always end up at happ with most choice. It's also the only place where I found EURO coin mechanism which I require. Are there any good alternative shops? Happ is quite expensive...

You can get a comparative coin door. You put a sample coin in the mechanism and the device will compare back to that coin. There are a quite a few vendors that sell them. Ultimarc comes to mind, but there are more out there. I have seen them manufactured by Happ, Wei-ya and chinese-off brand.  The only downside is that I have only seen them in one or two styles.

You can get drop-in standard size coin mechs that are comparators.  You could then use them with any coin door you may already have that accepts standard size mechs.  I know the US and Japan managed to adopt the same mech sizes, but I don't know if the Europeans did.
