My no.1 intention for 2012: DeGooglify my life. Totally done with that nuttcracks from the BA.
To bad they own my no.1 professional application now: Sketchup. That will be my intention-breaking sigaret for 2012.

Give Autodesk Inventor a try. I've only looked at sketchup sparingly, but it looks like Inventor Lite.

Regarding search, give duckduckgo.com a try. It does not track you, and does not tailor the search results based on you browsing habits and country you live in. Its !bang syntax is quite handy, too.
