where to get formica?
« on: September 19, 2003, 06:55:01 pm »
anyone know where I can get formica online?  I accidently got melamine instead of mdf so painting is not an option.  I asked lowes and home depot and neither of them stock it because its not a big seller.  They say I could special order but that would take like 3 weeks.

Any ideas on where I can get some?

both home depot and lowes carry it... but formica is a brand name of the stuff... what you are looking for is called in general "laminate" as in kitchen counter laminate...

*shrug*  also a laminate/kitchen counter supply place will have what you are looking for, probably cheaper/better selection...

good luck!

FWIF, around here, lowes carries Formica brand and HD has WilsonArt brand laminate.  [shrug]
