SmartStrip power strip will be briefly on sale today

The SmartStrip power strip will be on a lightning sale today at Amazon in about 6 hours (3PM eastern).

For those who don't know, this thing has one outlet that is monitored and when it detects current pull from that one outlet it then juices up all the others. This makes it easy to have a single button that will turn everything in your cabinet on and off. You can plug your PC into the monitored outlet and wire a standard pushbutton to turn your PC on and off. Plug all your other components (monitor, lights, etc.) into the other outlets and when you hit the button to turn your PC on, the powerstrip will power everything else up. And when you hit the button to turn your PC off, the power strip will cut power to everything else.

The lighting deals are scheduled for a specific hour, and there's a limited quantity so when they've all been claimed, the deal is over. Some of the lighting deals sell out in minutes. Something like this power strip will probably last a little while, depending on just how cheap they make it. But the lightning deals are usually pretty damned good deals. So if you've had your eye on one of these you're unlikely to find a better price.

I'm confused.  I can't find this deal.  (Sold out/expired/active/upcoming... just can't find it.)

The deal's over. It started at 3 pm Eastern and lasted for a set period of time, or until the set available quantity ran out. This one probably lasted a few hours only. It's back to it's normal price now.
