« on: December 19, 2011, 07:23:01 am »
I have a AMI Rowe R74 I inherited and can only make it run by setting it on test and manually pushing the r5 relay and found out it is missing the cmos credit computor#601-07593 is there any other way to trick it to run without reaching into the relays or do i need to find the computor for it Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi thor3228,

Sorry I don't know your name.

You can use the 601-07593 which was the standard credit unit for the R-74, CTI-1C and R-80 but it is also ok to use the 601-06666 credit computer.

If you can not souce one in your country I still have some in stock.

One more thing I found on the r5 start contactor there is a violet wire floating around loose up by the coil and only one wire actually on the coil i don't see any place on the coil to connect it to as there is only one terminal on it I thought that was unusual and took the contactor out but didn't seem like there is any sign of a broken lead on the coil could this be why i have to push the coil manually to make it run on freeplay? And if that is it where can I get a new coil?

Hi Tom,

Yes there should be two connections on the coil and yes I have used but good coils in stock.
The violet cable goes through number buttons common connections and when the test switch is closed this violet cable should read 30 volts DC the other side of the coil should be violet/white and goes through the common connection to the letter switches it is grounded through normally closed S2.

We are closed from this evening until 3rd of January 2012.

Regards
Alan
