XBOX Mame and trackball control
« on: December 18, 2011, 11:08:59 pm »
With the recent release of CoinOps 3 (which uses MameoX) for the original XBOX claiming trackball support, I was disappointed to find out it is only converting mouse movements to analog stick movements. So moving the mouse/trackball quickly or slowly in a direction only ever results in a fixed speed movement (based on the speed value in the analog controls menu). I think the crux of the problem is that when mapping a mouse movement to a control, it comes back as Analog X/Y instead of Mouse X/Y.

So the question I have for everyone is, have you found any MAME emu for the XBOX 1 that truly supports mouse/trackball control? If so, which emu (e.g. MameoX) and version of it did you use? TIA
