I am thinking about getting this cd player cheap.The person said the only thing wrong with it is it picks up the cd but it wont play.Is this a cheap fix or should I leave it alone.Thanks

fix? maybe. cheap, no. it may still be worth picking up if you can get a deal on it for not working.

likely the cd unit is dead.... a CD pro unit (if you can find them) go for anywhere around $300

i used to have MP3 units for sale to eliminate the need for the CD units, but i'm sold out at the time being

You can usually get a working pro player on ebay for under $100.

What are the specific symptoms? Does the CD spin at all when the cd is in the player? If so, it may be as simple as changing the optic assembly.
