Check out the Arcade collection at my local consignment shop
« on: December 16, 2011, 01:22:45 pm »
I was at a local consignment shop last night checking out an Armor Attack cabinet that I might buy for $50 and I noticed they had quite a collection.

The prices were not that great.  Most were between $350 to $450 with Golden Tee 3D tagged at over $700.

check it.....

Where is that located?  If it's anywhere near Central New York, I'd love the Battlezone.

Other side of the country I'm afraid.  Victoria, BC, Canada.

basically a flea market  ;)

It's a place where people take stuff they have to sale, they still own the merchandise and the owners of the store get a percentage when it sells.

I second that!  I'm in Oregon.  Right side of the continent, wrong country.  *Sigh*
Nothing arcade-ish happens around here!

Boy the cabs are probably the best things in that shop.  The rest of the stuff around the cabs could be left on the curb and still would not be picked up except maybe the golf clubs.

Indeed.  ;)

I ended up taking the Armor Attack after all.  Seems like a pretty good deal.  I wish I had the space to fix it up and keep it as is, sadly I am going to gut it, cut it up and re-make it into something new.

Ugh.  I wish i could unread that last post.

Will it take less space to 'gut it, cut it up and re-make it into something new' than it would to 'fix it up and keep it as it is'?

 ???

Ya, I didn't think that would make anyone very happy.

I really only need the cabinet.  I'm planning on selling the control panel, marquee and anything else that might be of use, so at least some parts will get a new lease on life.
