Options for 49-Way Joystick Interface?
« on: December 15, 2011, 05:54:20 pm »
I have been holding on to four 49-way Midway sticks for awhile, hoping to interface them to my mame pc with GGG's 49-way interface. But, I haven't been able to find any and GGG shows no signs of making these again any time soon, despite the notice on their website.

Anyone know of any alternatives?

Thanks

If I ever end up replacing my 49-ways with u360s I will let you have the controllers.

But to be honest I have noticed some really crappy interfacing with the sticks on certain games, although that could be cause all of the software is basically how I set it up in 2005.  Back then controller switching was not nearly as elegant as it is now with the u360.

If I remember correctly I thought there was a more expensive 49-way joystick interface, however I don't think it had the software switching GGG can provide.  Have you tried messaging him about them?  If that doesn't work I would just recommend trying to unload them on ebay and getting a u360.
