T-Molding replacement for a MAS Systems stick
« on: December 07, 2011, 10:36:37 am »
I have 2 old MAS Systems sticks that I want to recondition a bit.  The T-molding on them could really used to be replaced.  Can I just buy new T-molding and bang it into the existing slot cut for it with a mallet or something?  There are spots now where its starting to "pop" out in some places from age.

Measure your molding.   It should be 3/4 or 5/8 inch and take off the old and bang the new into the slot with a rubber or wood mallet.   Relieve the corners with some snips and the new molding should fit quite tightly.  It the slot has been damaged or is very worn hot glue does wonders.
