What size speakers came in a run-in gun cabinet?
« on: December 05, 2011, 01:01:33 pm »
Anyone know, I converted it over to mame and I want to put speakers in the stock location above the monitor. It looks like a 5-1/4" speaker but not sure.

I modified a 25" CRT Tv and turned it into an arcade cabinet using a arcade chassis...I have the 4" shield speakers from that....thought about making an adapter mount and use those.

I know I can convert computer speakers, but none are bigger than 3" or so and I really don't want to rig a couple of enclosed speakers in that area.

I'm dissecting a pair of computer speakers for the amplifier and using a larger set (same impedence) than what came in them.

I'm kind of anal and am going to run my PC components outside of the computer tower mounted directly inside my cabinent and I want this to look as "factory" as possible...all of the wiring is being ran cleanly and labeled.

Any leads on some good 5" or larger shielded speakers with a impedence of 8-12 ohms?
