NEED help with MALA video

So i have the AVI videos from emumovies or whatever but when i put them in all i hear is the sound and the video box is black. I have not touched mala in about 6 months or so and love the improvments from 1.05. I just need to get these videos working and im done. Any help anyone?? If it helps i cant run the video outside mala either, all i here is sound but no video in windows media player. Thanks

UPDATE:
VLC media player runs the videos fine, im wondering if its the codec thats having the problem. quick solutions would help out greatly. Im probably missing something simple.

Sorry to see that no one else has responded any sooner...

But yes, it would seem to be a codec related issue to me.   If you go to the download section on the EmuMovies website, under Software, there should be a Combined Community Codec Pack there.   This is all you should need as far as codecs to play EmuMovies movie files.   Hopefully you were able to get this working before now though!
