Need Help for Sideart
« on: September 17, 2003, 03:56:56 pm »
I have been trying to create a generic sideart for my cab but I am failing.  I wanted to create a 17" by 27" image with the Mame Logo and some game characters.  I wanted a picture as if the characters are busting out of the machine through a hole.  I seen something similar to that but I have not recieved an okay to use his sideart.  Can anyone help create this sideart? Everytime I try to my characters become VERY pixelated and not very good.  I admit, I suck at art.

Thanks!

That would be VERY COOL /excellant if I had an Xmen Cab!!!
Very nice artwork, however I was looking for something that had multiple arcade characters like DK, or Pacman, or Qbert.  I have several characters that I can cut and paste but when I do for large artwork it is always pixelated badly.  BTW Snake your artwork for the Marquee was VERY COOL for the PACMAN/GALAGA/DONKEYKONG PCB Cab!

well go to the mametrix gallery and see if you like anything there.
tell me which onces you want on your sideart and I will make something for you. ;)

Streaching image shouldnt be a problem since its all vector.

What did you end up using--I was after this idea myself and could never get it right--the guys were too small relative too each other and some got too pixelated for comfort.
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

There was sideart here posted and released with a bunch of characters.  I was able to change a few things in PS and make it to my liking.
