SEGA DREAMCAST CONTROLLER CONVERSION TO NES CONTROLLER?
« on: November 10, 2011, 01:43:49 pm »
Does anyone know where I can get a conversion hook up for my Sega Dreamcast?...I want to play my NES ROM emulator that works in my Dreamcast but I would like to use the NES controller because of the "Real Feel" game play...I will pay someone to make one for me...Thanks, Dan

I could do this for you... however, it wouldn't exactly be pretty.  I've done the same for an SNES controller on an Xbox.

Basically, it would involve hacking a Dreamcast controller, and rewiring an NES controller to connect to it.  The hacked dreamcast controller could be housed in a small project box to make it a little more presentable.

H, what exactly does hooking up a NES or SNES controller to Xbox entail? It has been one of the projects I've aspired to work on, but had no clue how to go about it. My searches for info have come up empty.

Is there a lot of rewiring inside the NES/SNES controller itself, or is everything run off the Xbox controller? I'd love the possibility of a project box with both NES and SNES ports, since the wiring is the same.

Hack the Xbox controller as normal, then hack the SNES controller so that you bypass the chip, and use the SNES buttons to close the box controller buttons.
