4" Robotron Shafts - any sources?
« on: November 06, 2011, 11:17:50 am »
Unfortunately, my Robotron cab came to me with bat joysticks, and I'm sadly discovering just how hard it is to find replacement 4" Wico-style ball joystick shafts.

Every source I've googled or searched for here on BYOAC seems to have dried up.

Anyone know of anyone selling 4" Robotron joystick shafts? My Robotron won't be whole without real balltop joysticks at the proper height...

Do you have a wico shaft that is the wrong length to get measurements from?

Yes. I have two 3.5" wico balltop shafts. Can't seem to remove the balltops - I wonder if they're threaded or molded on?

wolfeel, over at KLOV had a bunch of NOS 4" Wico (red balltop) shafts for sale not too long ago. I'm not sure if he's sold out, but you might want to PM him and ask if he has any left. I think he was selling them at $50 a set.

They are locktite glued onto the shafts. You won't be able to remove them without destroying the balltop, and even then, I doubt the shaft is threaded.
