Skegvegas coin slots - where can I get these? Could I make them?

Was on the pier in Skegness this week. Had one eye on the kids and the other looking at coin slots that could be mounted on a horizontal surface  

Does anyone know if these can be bought (just one of the slots, not the rest of the mechanism)? Rescued from an otherwise doomed restoration project?

If not, then I reckon I could make the simpler of the 2 from a piece of flat sheet metal, but I dont know how I would create a neat slot. Lots of closely drilled holes? Too narrow to get a file in there though I reckon.
