New guy from Wyoming
« on: October 17, 2011, 10:18:22 pm »
Hi everyone.  I'm trey, and I'm new.  I found this site through another member, and thought I would post here.

I have always wanted to build a mame cabinet, but never had the chance.  I bought a new laptop, so my netbook became extra.  I am building a tabletop mini mame.  Things didn't go as planned.  I kinda winged it, without knowing the dimensions of the joystick and buttons.  I'll find a way around it.  Other than that, I am really happy with how it is turning out.  Here is a picture...

I dont know if I can bring myself to start over.  I'm not the best wood worker in the world.

Yesterday I filled and primed it.  So its looking pretty good right now.

I found this today...

http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=365

and I found some lower profile pushbuttons, but I cant seem to find them right now.

edit:  here they are

Looks like you have a wood CP.  If so, you probably want to get the screw in type push buttons rather than the snap in ones you linked.

Yup, its wood.  1/4" ply.  I guess I'll have to find some other buttons.
