Paint and Primer advice

I'm using AC sanded superply 3/4" for my cabinet. It has a smooth side which I'll be drilling into and countersinking, then using wood putty to fill over and sand.

After that is complete, I'm planning to prime the entire cabinet and then paint it black (inside too). After that I'll be ordering some vinyl artwork to adhere to the sides.

Question: what type of primer and paint is best for this application?

Hope you did not screw yet... do it from the inside. Much easier to get a nice paint later. Or just glue it. With wooden joints (lamello or pegs), it is strong enough.

Thank you Blanka. You saved us a ton of time with this suggestion. We ended up countersinking from the inside out. No need to do all the putty work!

         I like to spray solvent based auto paint over a epoxy based primer. Not a cheap proposition, but a beautiful finish. [If done right.]
