Great Weekend at The Funspot
« on: October 14, 2011, 10:33:27 am »
I spent a 4 day birthday weekend at the Funspot in New Hampshire (just I have for the past 5 years).
Man they are really stepping up their game up there.
There have been some years in the past where I would be a bit worried because a fair amount of games were out of order.

This year was great! Most every game worked without issue and new games (by new, I mean classic) were added including a Wacko, which was great.

Even the Computer Space was working (on Friday, but jammed for the rest of the weekend) so it was a treat to finally get to play that.

I even met Bob Lawton, the owner. This guy founded the Funspot back in 1952 and still works 7am-5pm, 7 days a week. I saw him loading the token machine hoppers on Saturday.
If you are able to get there, I highly recommend going.

Yeah, Funspot is AMAZING!
Luckily I live within a couple hours of there so I try to make it up at least a couple times a year
always a blast!
Don't remembers seeing Wacko, can't wait to play that one!
