Any decent Arcades in the Philly area?

I'm going to be in Philadelphia in a few weeks.  Are there any Arcades in the area?  I'm looking for something with "classic" games still on-site.

Good timing.  I believe Arcade just opened in the Philadelphia area.  Do a quick search...

There's also Dave & Busters (just in case) and about 45 minutes away look for a place called Arnolds.

If you're looking to play classics, then Dave and Busters won't do the trick - last I was there they only had the big screen shooters and racers. As for Arnolds - it started as an indoor electric go-cart track, and they actually let you race! The track was huge and the cars fast. Over the years they've tried other ways to bring in customers - for a while they had a 50's style malt shop restaurant. But I guess they still weren't all that profitable - so they began to shrink the size of the track and add other "kid party" stuff. I took my nephew a few years ago and they had expanded with all kinds of arcade games, mini-rides, lazer tag, and even a small section of pinball machines (mostly in bad need of service). The place runs on game cards which you buy in $10/$20/$30 increments - so you never really know what each game or activity actually costs. Lately I've seen a sign out front that they now have bowling alleys.

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting D&B, just mentioning that there is one, in case he doesn't venture out anywhere else.   

If you're looking for pinball, your best bet in the 'area' is Pinball Parlour.  Lots of pins, even a Medieval Madness.  It's basically a two story garage.  Not much on ambiance, but he's got games.  Again, maybe about 45 minutes from Phila?  Here's his Game List, which can also lead to Directions, etc. http://www.pinball-parlour.com/gamelist/index.php

I'd call before heading over though, because I've never figured out the hours.  I'd also inquire about the shape of the games that interest you.  They aren't always all up and running.  He's got everything set to free play and usually when that's the case, they don't fret about one machine having issues as you could just move to another.  I believe it's a one man job and probably very difficult to upkeep all those machines.

I see that Barcade has a Smash TV which I have not played on a dedicated in almost 20 years. 

I had somebody recommend I head over to the Jersey Shore and I might try that as well.
