Controls.dat - Can we use it in MAMEUI? How?

Does Controls.dat shows changes the name of the buttons in the mameui menu (during gameplay)? Like "jump" instead of "Button 1"?

If so, how to implemented it in mameui?

Use CPWizard, that will show a detailed image of all the button placements.

Agree.

CPWizard is a very useful tool.  My only wish is that it would be able to be displayed on a second monitor.  Even still,  it is in the top two most usefull utilities!

Im pretty sure it can be displayed on a second monitor. In this video it is anyway

Go to the website http://www.headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=cpwizard and read the turorial, that will tell you how to get it going.
