Can someone help me a little?
« on: September 04, 2011, 09:43:32 pm »
I am getting ready to order artwork for my current project from Game On Grafix. They say that their control panels are made from a polycarbinate laminate. My control panel has a 90 degree bend and I'm wondering if this stuff is bendable. My control panel is made from MDF and it will be painted. Does anyone here have any experience with this company and their control panel overlays? Also, are there any other companies I should consider to print up my artwork or do you folks think Game on Grafix is the best way to go?

Thanks!

They are the best but you should ask them about the bend in the CP overlay.

My control panel has a bend in it  and the gameongrafix cpo bends fine for it but it is not a sharp bend.
you can see the bend in mine by clicking on the link in my signature.

But as BobA says, Gameongrafix is the best.

how about a pic of the control panel

Looks real nice man.  :applaud:
My current cab project is a small tabletop unit. My panel is only 11" wide. The overlay will need to cover the control surface and over a rounded 90 degree bend. Looks like the Game on Grafix overlay should work. I was most curious if it was rigid or not. I'll try to take a pic of my panel and post it tomorrow.

I just applied a GOG overlay today... on a Pac CP, I went around a 90 degree curved bend, a 90 degree sharp bend, and at the top, a 180 degree bend from the top to the bottom. No problem with any of them... used a hairdryer to help the shaping, but very pleased with how it went on.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter
