Roms work with Mame, not with Mala (some)
« on: August 31, 2011, 02:08:39 pm »
Hi Guys,

Thanks for all of the informative posts, I have been able to search and resolve all of my issues...until now that is.

For some reason Mala will not find all of the roms that are working with my Mame (I will get the version when I get home).  So I can run Mame directly and all games are great!, but Mala only finds about 90% of them.  One of the games that is not found is Shuffleshot.

Is it possible to change the mame rom file formats that Mala searches for?   Similar to other emulators?

Thanks Guys,

Mike

Are you trying to load the roms from a custom gamelist or the default gamelist which contains all roms (even if you don't have them)? Perhaps you're tyring to load the wrong rom(ie shufshot137.zip as opposed to shufshot139.zip) Or if you are using a custom game list maybe you added the wrong rom to the list?

As far as file extensions, i'm pretty sure mala looks for the.zip directories with the name of the rom so changing what file extensions you are looking for won't help
