MN State Fair
« on: August 28, 2011, 09:58:06 pm »
Went to the Minnesota State Fair for some food and stumbled upon some pinball machines.  All the machines were in great condition.  I'll head back sometime this next week to get some more pinball.

Yeah, they do this pinball on a stick each year. Seems like a good time.

That's awesome.  The Iowa State Fair dropped their arcade tent years ago.   :banghead:

I heard we used to have a penny arcade, but that disappeared a couple of years ago.  :(

:hissy: What? I was just there Friday...I totally missed that. Not to mention I was meeting up with my wife, but she wasn't picking up the phone. I was stuck waiting doing nothing for an hour and a half by the butterfly house...probably 100 feet away.  :badmood:

:laugh2: You got to call it like you see it.

Things usually don't go that way for me, but mother in-law was in the country visiting. There is a scientific theorm that things get exponentially worse when a mother in-law is around. I'm a smart enough man to know when to just give in as a self preservation mechanism.

Oh, and the fact that my wife didn't pick up the phone for an hour and half? Somehow ended up being my fault. I'm still trying to figure that one out.  :dunno

What a dull lineup....  :P

Yeah, it should be a bunch of Pinball Circus, Big Bang Bar, Kingpin, and Oribitor 1 machines...

Give me a break, man. First of all, that's not the entire lineup, and secondly, you rarely see Bride of Pinbot or Jackbot and they're both there. Not everybody gets to play the AAA DMD games without owning them either, so it's a big deal for people who played pinball in the early '90s but they're not into the hobby now as collectors.

Screw the p/b, where's my cheese curds?? (j/k)

I have a friend in MN that would send me some every year. Then she'd also send pics of fried cheese curds just to taunt me.

Cheese Curds are pure joy, fried or not. I often go over to a few of my favorite Cheese factories in Wisconsin to get fresh curds. You have not tasted bliss until you tried cheese curds less than an hour out of the vat.
