Building a rom list?
« on: August 23, 2011, 11:57:11 am »
Hello:

I am not sure if I am posting this to the correct forum let alone if there is a comprehensive post already on this subject.

Here is my dilemma. I have an arcade cabinet that is a cocktail model. On each side there are two buttons and a joystick. One side has both player one and player two buttons.

Here is what the basic joystick looks like:

Quote
(Button One) --- (Joystick) --- (Button Two)

What I need is a list of roms that would fit this configuration. Unfortunately what I have found is that there were hidden switches and buttons on many arcade cabinets so when I have done a search on MAWS I get a very inaccurate list.

Another thing is that games that I love like 1941 will not work very well on this configuration even though there are two buttons they are on opposite sites of the joystick. This makes each side effectively one button and one joystick per player.

I use Linux at home. I do not have MS Windows running at all so most of the programs that do sorting are in effect out of my reach. Any help that anyone can provide would be great.

Thank you,

I would recommend a new CP layout.
