My finished arcade... sorta finished!!!!
« on: August 19, 2011, 08:34:30 pm »
:cheers:I just recently finished my bartop. I still need a marquee and unsure which balltop I like more white or red. Now is the time to work on the front end. Currently using maximus but I think i'm going to switch to hyperspin

Edit: I shoulda put this in project announcements my apologies.

Im using hyperspin right now as well and cant seem to exit mame games. (executable)  What do you do to exit out of each game? what button(s) do you press and do you use a delay?

Thanks I'll take some pics of the internals when I get the chance. Right now its ultrastik 360's with happ competition pushbuttons. I currently have both joysticks with white balltops I thought if I did green it would be overkill with the color.
I don't have an exhaust fan for it and dont feel that I need it. I've had it running for 12 hours in 90 degree ambient temp. Overall temp reading was approx 104F on the internals with measurements taking with a temp gun.
Its a brand new comp internals I got for cheap on newegg.
4gig ddr3
asrock n68c
Amd sempron 140
I used a terabyte drive I had laying around
and a dell 4:3 19inch lcd.
Overall I'm very happy. This was a bartop kit I purchased off mameroom.com Although next time I will shop craigslist for a parted out full size arcade. I originally wanted a full size but as of right now I don't have the space to house one let alone the tools to build one myself. But the moment I do I got a spare comp all ready for it. All I need now is to figure out what kind of art I want on my bartop.

Looks good.

Are the u360's long enough?  Hard to tell in the pic.  I had to go with the longer shafts (no jokes on that one)

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Where did you put your button to power the mobo?

Edit:  I flush mounted it beside the main power toggle switch :)
