Another stupid easy focus (on startup) issue fix
« on: October 08, 2013, 07:51:09 pm »
Finally experienced the lack of focus on Mala when it is started with windows.
I'd been lucky through half a dozen installations thus far.

Anyway, tracked it down to my xonar sound card software which I want running because of the EQ.
I won't go through all the crazy batch files and autohotkey scripts that I tried.

What worked was simply placing a shortcut to Mala in the startup folder instead of checking the box in Mala options to start with windows.
I guess this delayed the start of Mala enough that it didn't load until after the xonar software was already loaded and settled.

In this topic, I'm making a tutorial about AllInOneFYC.

AllInOneFYC can give the focus to the process you define. You can see in the next screen

Here, with the 2 button of your joystick 1 you can give the focus to the mame process.

In short, I hope to have instructions and examples in this section.

Greetings!

Went through the same thing when setting up servostiks where mala was starting before joytray. Discovered the same as above that the start folder comes in second for launching things.

good day.

Thanks for sharing.
I will try this.
I've found that I have this issue when I don't use the PC on a frequent basis.
Upon power on I've lost focus, and all be it I use the focus logger  I need to use my mouse to get focus back.
Over and above that, upon game exit I find I often have loss of focus, again despite using the plug in.
I recall reading a fix, changing something from hidden to minimized, but the issue remained.

thank you
