CP Layout, for XBox
« on: August 12, 2011, 02:02:08 am »
So I was going to see if anyone had some good suggestions for CP layouts for an original XBox powered cab.

Heres what I have so far:

1 = 1 Player button
1 = 2 Player button
2 = Green button
2 = Red button
2 = Blue button
2 = Yellow button
8 = Black button
2 = White button

and

2 = Joysticks

I definitely want to keep the red, green, yellow, blue in the same square style layout as the controller, but how about the placement of the others?  The XBox can play CPS1, CPS2, MAME, and NeoGeo stuff.   So I kind of need an idea of what will be the most effective for these, while still good for regular xbox games like Soul Calibur 2 and others.

Also, Google Sketchup is hard >.<

Well here is what I came up with.

Extremely ghetto... But a million times easier than messing with sketchup.

White and black are slightly lower offset, the other 6 will be 2 straight rows of 3.  The player 1 and black button up top are start and back.   The colored buttons represent their counterparts on the xbox, and the far right black buttons are left trigger and right trigger.
