More Trackball Frustration
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:54:52 am »
Ok, I got my trackball to function as a mouse, although I still need to wire up the mouse buttons, but it's still not working to play games. I'm using MAME140 with HyperSpin as a front end.

Any advice?

Jason

Edit the mame.ini file and map the Trackball setting to the mouse.

It LOOKS like it's already mapped that way. Can anyone show me what it should look like?

So I just edit it so it says mouse rather than keyboard? Does that need to be changed anywhere else?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure you need to have

keyboard               1
mouse                   1

Try that

Yep-

Mouse 1 (instead of 0) and

Trackball_device -> Mouse (instead of Keyboard)

I use a program that let you use the keyboard as mouse button. SO I just added some arcade buttons connected to the IPAC

http://www.mousefighter.com
http://www.mousefighter.com/download

Just have it start with windows
The cool thing about it is you can assign a key to activate/deactivate it so I press (P1start+2P button 6) to active/deactivate
The reason I installed it was to play Angry Birds on my Arcade Cab lol
