Here's my marquee from Game On Grafix with process review
« on: August 01, 2011, 07:33:52 pm »
July 5th- I first used the form on the Artwork Design Services at the Game On Grafix website
July 10th- Heard back from Vlad (yep), my designer. Emailed my picture same night.
July 22nd- A couple of emails about the design and the dimensions and first draft was emailed to me today
July 23rd- Final design was approved.  I paid the design fee (they charge $35/hour).  My design was very simple so only cost $35.
July 25th- Ordered the marquee from the website.  Received order confirmation right away.
July 29th- Received shipment notice
Aug 1st- Arrived at my home and installed.

Overall experience:  9.5/10.  It took a little while to hear back from the designer but he was very apologetic and I imagine it is a side job for him.  I'd be interested to see what they do with more freedom on the design (For example: "I'd like a mash-up of characters from ninja based game, all in an orange theme").  Mine was simply adding some text to an image.

I ordered the Ultimate with 2 sheeets of Plexi.  It came very tightly packaged in a hard tube.  No problems with packaging.  Overall, I highly recommend them.  Now I am going to plan out my CP overlay.

It mounted in a few seconds and looks awesome (my opinion).  The pictures do not do it justice.  The first picture is of the design.  It lights up perfectly.  The name is generic, I admit.  Let me know what you guys and gals think.

Oh yeah, the picture is a character from a fantasy novel.  Anomander Rake from the Malazan books by Steven Erikson.  I don't know if its been used a ton before but I love those books and thought it would look cool lit up.
