Donkey Kong / Hunchback Cab
«

I'm looking for some information about a cabinet I just picked up. This is my first real cabinet that I've owned and just finished building a Donkey Kong (mame) cabinet. As you can see in the picture, the cab was a Donkey Kong cab that was somewhat converted to a Hunchback cabinet. It's the 2 board version and my first question is how did they convert the game, is it by replacing the rom chips on the original board? Any help about this conversion cabinet would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Its prolly a different board, although there were kits that were rom swaps for DK boards.

Thanks for the help so far. It's not the board you gave me a link to. It's an actual TKG4-14 dual board so I'm guessing some chips were changed to change the game from DK to Hunchback. I noticed a couple of chips are missing off the board but am not sure if that is the way it should have been after the game change. Here's a couple of images of the boards:
Does anyone here on this board know much about the chips on the DK boards and about he Hunchback conversion?
Thanks!

I tested the system out this evening to see what worked. The monitor worked and the game seems to be froze at the startup of the game. This is the only image that appears after you turn it on. How do you normally go into the service menu on a DK cab? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Thomas
