Do speaker magnets interfere with PC's
« on: July 27, 2011, 11:22:34 am »
Just wondering would the magnet on a large speaker (10'' sub) would mess up the motherboard or hard drive on a PC ? I reckon it can't be good for a hard drive to be too close, but I had one within 6 inches of a large magnet for a few weeks and it was fine.

Also, would speaker cable need to be shielded if running close to mains power cable (240v) ?

Thanks
