fujifilm aladdin photo-kiosk as a jukebox
« on: July 26, 2011, 03:24:55 am »
Its been a longish time since i've logged into the forum, but i thought i would share something.

Fujifilm has obsoleted their aladdin line of photo-kiosks and is now dropping support for them completely as of June.  They are showing up on craigslist and ebay quite frequently now.  I managed to pick 1 of them up for free.  The monitor is an ELO touchscreen, and the one i have has a 2.2ghz celeron, 1gig of ram and came running xp pro.

What looks like a CRT top is actually the entire computer/lcd combo.  The bottom housing is mostly empty and houses a receipt printer.  They seperate very easily.  For almost no investment other than time its a really quick way to get a bar/tabletop jukebox running.  They have standard computer ports in the rear behind an access panel for running a line-out, or plugging in a usb drive w/ your music on them.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
